Was it before 1937? otherwise you will probably not find anything

Val, there are some records on National Archives up to 1937 (nothing after).

Ancestry has records up to 1911/12.

Sometimes the case may have been mentioned in the newspapers.

Seeing as the people in question are long passed, do you want to give details and we'll see if we can help?

I am actually looking for the divorce of Grandparents who died many years ago.

Suggest your wife give the NISI date for the CRB check, and identifies it as such.........the absolute is normally 6 weeks thereafter

The CRB should be able to verify...............

That & the Solicitor who dealt with it were our first thoughts, neither have been any help thus far ...

Hey I can't believe she doesn't remember the day !!
For the first 5 years after, she threw a party to celebrate.

Sorry yes maybe I should have said in the first post, wife,
I just knew that the Questions, would have been - When, where, who,
kinda thought relationship would be taken as read, I don't use these boards much, as I said Thx for your concern.

Despite the claims of some sites found when trying to do google search then, I guess there are no online records Which is all I / we actually wanted to know??

Maybe if you had just said my wife is looking for her divorce records rather than posting her divorce and marriage we would not have been concerned

My OH says get in touch with the court who issued the papers they should know

The lady in question is my wife - I am the Harris TJ the 2nd husband.

She has been asked for date of her Divorce as part a CRB check & asked me if I could find the info on here.

I told her that there was no actual records I knew of, but there were a lot of helpful people who may point her in the right direction.... ???
I have all the permission I need, but thank you for your concern.

I have been divorced and would not want my name and dates put on any thread without my permission and I strongly recommend that Terence deletes this from his message, I am sure that he did not intend to upset anyone

Terence

If its not your divorce, I would be pretty annoyed if someone went looking for mine

Maybe you should delete those details as these people do not know they are being spoken about on the net
