If the family lived in Scotland you need Scotlands People site which is pay to view. The birth years you are looking for arent avaible to view the certificates online you have to buy the certs cost£10 each

i am trying to find out if a walter crone nugent born in 1917 at graitney or gretna dumfries scotland had any brothers or sisters his mothers name was janet crone born 1887 and his fathers name was william john nugent born in 1889 i would be gratefull for any information
