Find Ancestors

I am trying find information regarding George Gasson. I do not know his DOB, but here is what I do know.

His Father was John Gasson
He married a Phoebe Hobbs in 1867, but she remarried in 1875. I cannot find a death for George Gasson though in 1871 it seems Phoebe was widowed.
They had a child, George in 1869.

I would like to know when he was born and anything of his mother/father and any siblings. Any help would be appreciated.

This is a bit of a long shot cos it's three years since you posted your message.

Did you get anywhere with trying to find more info for George Gasson or his father John. I am researching on behalf of my friend whose grandfather was Aubrey Leavey Gasson, George Gasson's grandson and I've hit the same brick wall as you did.

Finally got the marriage certficate but alas it just states the ages as 'Full'. I suspect this is going to be a brick wall I will not get past.

Phoebe is back with her parents in 1871 and a widow so George must have died 1867-1871. There are two possibles 1st q 1869. Take the one in Bromley district aged 35 so born about 1834.
Look on the 1841 for this George and you will find one in Wimbledon with father John [a Steward] and mother Rebecca Rose Gasson.
Then look for Rebecca in 1851 and she and John [now a carman] are still in Wimbledon.
If you obtain George's death certificate for 1869 Bromley District hopefully it may show the informant as Phoebe?
