Never give up!! Have been contacted by Elijah's step grandaughter and now have photos of him. My husband had never seen any photos of his Grandfather! Just goes to show quessing is better than nothing and you never know who is out there.

The electoral lists will be at a main library or archive local to the given address.
Sometimes librarians will check for you if you live out of area.
Some charge, some don't, but it's worth sending an e mail to them with the information and dates you know.
They are searched by address, so if you know an address and that RW was living there, many librarians would check to see who else was there....especially as this was over 50 years ago.

Have you checked the electoral list for the address given for the informant, R W MILTON in 1956?
Probably RW's wife will be named at that address.

I also came up with these names in my research 6 months ago, if nothing comes of it I will remove them. Unfortunately everyone who would have known the truth have gone now. I know it's a long shot but worth a try. Does anyone know if I can look at the electoral roll for this time?

Not doubting SatNav's research at all .... but you really ought to cross check everything before you just simply add names to your tree.

Trying to find daughter of Elijah Robert Cope, (1892-1956), informant on death certificate a R W Milton (son-in-law). He was the grandfather of my husband, he disappeared after WW1. Died in St. Albans, Herts 1956. Any help would be appreciated.
