Find Ancestors

Update. Found them in the USA. Belated huge thanks to all who helped.

Evidently Ancestry just copied from FreeBMD and didn't look at the original.

That is sooooo strange!

Have looked at original image on Freebmd - blacked out at bottom right of page.

Ancestry search 1858 Egan says 'Illegible" but when you click on original image - clear as day!!!!!!


None of these mine then.

Thanks for looking - I have checked again the original image on freebmd and either some transcriber took a wild guess for the names etc or can see through a blacked out area of the page.

I looked at the original of those deaths. I don't know why they said it was illegible.

Still looking into what happened to the family I came across this batch of Egan deaths. What does anybody think the odds are that this is the family? The image is very unclear and I can't decipher the area or the rest of the names.

Hello Barbara..have studied all Census years with some care, for every one of the six members of this family.
They appear nowhere at all.
It appears self-evident that since they all disappeared they all went together..i.e Emigration..or less liley transportation.

Did they all die together in some tragedy??? NO.becasue none of them appear in any death records either.......so i reclon they upped and went to pastures new.........EGAN is an Irish name......did they go to Southern Ireland???
