thankyou to everyone looking for me.
i have tried websites suggested but cant seem to get on the user.ox.ac.uk site we attended the stratford library where a lovely lady tried to find a list of people who were either inmates or just working within the grounds but to no avail without you lot in genes i would have given up long ago on this family tree history.thanks again

Just read the rules and regs on living there in 1724 plus what meals they had very interesting being a romford girl myself

Have just 'googled' Romford Workhouse and found plenty of info.
The new Romford Union Workhouse was built 1838-9.

does anyone know how to find out if there was a workhouse in Barking around 1898 /1899/1900 we think we might have had a relative either working or staying in one before she married.
