Please could anyone tell me about Henry Draycott born 1814 at Stapleford Notts . His birth is not listed in the parish records so I can't identify his parents He wed an Ann Clark in Loughborough in 1831. ANother Henry is listed aas living in the same street in the 1841 census but I am informed tht this was not his father.

What info were you given so you know the other Henry is not his father?

Since he married in leicestershire...could he have been baptised in Leicss??? the only Henry Draycott i can find is bapt Kilby Leicester 1814.......

I have the Nottinghamshire Marriage Records up to 1812..just found a marriage at Stapleford.....Henry Draycott and Mary Barrowcliff 21.09.1807...very likely parents, and by date is likely uour henry has earlier siblings

Ignore previous Henry and Mary..they were from Weston on trent and are not related.

Some evidence to show that henry 1814 was the son of WILLIAM DRAYCOTT 1789 and MARTHA GOODMAN of Leicestershire..but the same source says that Ann Clark was born in Stapleford 1813..so why marry in loughborough???? mind you...Stapelford and Loughborough ar only 12 miles apart.

Thanks to all for the info. Does anyone lhave the record of the marriage at Loughborough to confirm parents. I thought it may be the Stapleford Henry who wed MAry and lived on the same street but have been informed that is not so. So I've assumed he was the Henry born at Kilby (parents William & Martha). but would like confirmation of this if possible. regards Lorraine

Not the Kilby Henry because he still lives in Kilby according to all subsequent census.
