I have just joined Genes Reunited to try and make a little family tree of my own and hopefully find out some information regarding some of my ancestors'.

Specifically, I am trying to find information regarding my grandfather Wilmot Hope Raymond who was the son of the aforementioned 'Captain George Raymond' whom I am also interested in finding a bit about if it is possible.

Wilmot H Raymond is mentioned above in the 4th post of this thread - errenously (I think) being listed oas having been born in Devon. He was actually born in Woolwich I believe.

If any of the posters above, specifically Noreen and John have any information that might be helpful I would be very grateful if I could have this shared with me. Likewise, if I can help with any information required by yourselves then please do not hesitate to ask as I would be only too happy to help.

I actually do have a picture of the Captain George Raymond of this thread - it is a copy of a portrait of him which other members of my family have.

trying to find my grt.grt.grt.grandfather captain george raymond in the royal navy..it states this on his son's marraige cert in 1857..and he was born in london.............but his son william got married in cork city ireland .so i would be thrilled if anyone would know anything about him. or where do i look..hope to hear something soon..PLEASE.
