Hello Derek,

Would you mind having a look for the following for me please ?

Francis Pakeman born c 1769 married Frances Mould on the 13th Jan 1794 at Sutton on the Hill, Derbyshire. I am having difficulty in finding any info on Francis Pakeman especially his parents. He seems to be a "stand alone" Pakeman as I cannot get him to fit into any tree that I've managed to draw up so far.

All help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Regards

Barbara

Yes we have been here before Derek, for the marriage only I think. Though with my senior moments I may be mistaken. Yes he married twice he is the cradle snatcher ;-) :-D.

Just remembered it was his son who married twice, another Gilbert :-D

Hello LA.......we've been here before!! Elizabeth Stanley and gilbert Measom or Measham......didn't he marry twice or something??.can't find Elizabeth Stanley...if she was born Linton it's the Parish Of Church Gresley..and i only have baptisms from 1813...........the only Elizabeth Stanley i can find on IGI is 03.12.1748 at Willington daughter of Jacob and Alice..but that may be just a touch too far away........

I'm still looking xx

Good Afternoon Derek, can you see if you can find me any Birth / Baptism record for Elizabeth Stanley 1751 Linton. Her parents names are what I am seeking. I do know who she married though in 1772 ;-), my Gilbert :-D

Many thanks

Just found the actual photo of her birth certificate and it says father Henry Robert Measham. What do you make of that :-D

EDIT her stepdad was James.

Last last one..lol....have found the Birth Certificate..and a photograph of Louise Measham........birth registered Bethnal Green 12.07.1884..daughter of Sarah Measham..and of HENRY ROBERT MEASHAM.....an upholsterer........so he was a Henry all along...........which brings him back in the frame as the son of William and Elizabeth.............Now i thin i really do need large Scotch!!!
Interestinger and interestinger....Louise was born in the Workhouse 7th July 1884...
night night xx

Thanks for looking Derek. I found that Robert too . Richard Measham is the one I have tried to link my lot to as I have a Measham family member that is linked to him and is convinced that somewhere we have a connection through this line. But as we know they are very good at hiding and lying through their teeth.

I will no doubt be in touch soon with a few more confirmation of dates.

Again thanks for your time <3

One last thing before I have to give up on this one......I went looking for LOUISE MEASHAM.............found her born St Luke Middlesex 1885...........BUT...in 1891 she is living in London as the daughter of James and Sarah Herbert.........and it turns out that Sarah Measham married James Herbert at St. Georg in the East.London in JAS 1889.............which certainly explains why "Robert" and Sarah never appeared on a census together.............
..and he does not appear to have died either!!!..............throughout all this the only truly ROBERT MEASHAM that existed was born 1839 repton. son of Robert and Emma Measham.......

Lots of love ! Derek.

Well I agree, they are all up to no good :-D. All except my late Grandad Measham . Well this might just be one I will have write off but I was hoping that it would be my Henry :-(

Derek

Derek Report 14 Dec 2012 22:49

..and neither do I.............its a very late age to be marrying for the first time at 42........ I too have found the 1881 marriage at Bethnal Green 1881.....and at no time after that is there any record of Robert Measham..or Henry measham..living together..and no mention of Sarah Measham at all.........

It begins to look like one of your fabulous Meashams might have had something to hide......like an earlier marriage????..a second marriage that was bigamous???............we have Thomas Measham 1839 Repton in the Royal Marines at Woolwich in 1861...........it gets crazier and crazier.....particularly as Robert measham never existed...........

LaGooner Report 14 Dec 2012 22:35

The marriage was 26th sept 1880, Bethnal Green. I am curious about this one as I have nothing at all about Henry Measham son of William and Elizabeth after the 1871 census
