Trying to find info on Richard Baines/Baynes b. c1861 Wolvey.
I have the marriage to Abigail Iliffe, also 1891 and 1901 census. I am trying to find him on the 1871 and 1881 census. His father was also called Richard but was deceased at the time of his sons marriage. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for this.
I am totally confused by the Baines/Alcoat connection though.

I have found a Dick Baines b, 1861 Wolvey and on the 1861 census I have a Richard Banes aged 1m, from Wolvey with Mother Hannah from Wolvey as boarders with a family.
I am beginning to wonder if Richards father died before he was born.?Mother then remarried a Richard Alcoat? but a bit of coincidence that she married 2 Richards?? but seems to tie in.
On Richards (b 1861) marriage certificate it gives his father as Richard Baines-deceased.
So thanks again Choccy it has given me another line to follow, much appreciated
