Sorry, my grandad was Cyril Ernest Hadley and my Nan was Joscelyn Hadley. Should have added that....

Probably a bit of late reply, but I am Sandra's daughter, Renara. Mum died in 2002. Aunty Lyn did live in Wanneroo, but Uncle Mick does still live in the house.

I was doing some research and googled granddad's name and this thread came up. I would like more of a background on my Nan and Grandad and would love to make contact. I can fill in any blanks from this end. I did manage to find granddad's immigration records on national archives website. I was actually trying to find info on shrapnel he received in Africa, I was trying to find out if he was involved in the Rats of Tabruk.

This is us, we are who you are looking for, albeit 5 years late :-D

Hope this helps

Yes these are the family I am looking for but sadly I do not live in Australia but live in England. So without a telephone number it is impossible to get the tele No from white pages.
Aunty Chris
Just to let you know , I am Ron & Angela's daughter. So you are right stating that we are looking for the same family. I did know that Uncle Cyril & Aunty Joscelyn had passed away as has

Hi Christine and Karlyle

There is a L Hadley and a Michael Hadley listed in the White pages both living at the same address in Wanneroo- probably the brothers.

Karlyle are you in Australia? if so it would only take a phone call.

pm me with more details if you would like me to phone for either of you.

cheers
Deborah

In case it helps ...the 'West Aus. State Library' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service - they will check electoral rolls (for Michael) as well as newspaper death notices of Cyril & Marion -(if you give them the dates) -for family names etc. ...... Valerie (WA)

Hi Karyle
I was very interested to see your recent posting on the community board.
I put a posting in 2008 looking for MY cousins in Australia and have a strong feeling they are the same as yours.
Here are the details I have, so see what you think:-

My mum was Irene Hadley, sister of Cyril Ernest Hadley and his wife Marion Joscelyne (known to family as Joscelyne) and they came from Reading (where I still live).
Uncle Cyril emigrated to Perth in 1949 and he and Joscelyne were married there.
They had four children named Sandra, Susan, Linden and Michael and lived at Mount Yokine.

At some point they moved to Wanneroo though I don't know when.
My Mum did visit once during the early 1980's and Uncle Cyril died 25/8/86.
After my mum died in 1988 my dad went to visit, then Aunt Joscelyne died on 28/3/96.
We gradually lost touch.

I had 2 replies to my posting on Genes last year which you can read on the Community board.
I looked at whitepages, which is the Aussie phone book. A Michael Hadley is still listed in Wanneroo but I haven't yet tried to contact him. I also found out last year from a relative on Genes that Sandra died 2 or 3 years ago but have not verified that.
Hope you didn't mind me writing but I am sure they must be who you are looking for. You and I may even be related!!!

Best regards
Christine Fielder (nee Ward)
