So it looks as if the correct bride at the 1911 marriage was Elizabeth Barker? Maybe Mary was her middle name?

And there is a WW1 service record for George William Hibbard of 31 Homfrey St Hackney (Occupation Glass blower) in Reserve Company No 209827 -his next of kin is wife ELIZABETH

Homerton was one of the addresses in the (several )service records for George William Hibbert
I think we are dealing with the phonetic spelling of an enumerator unfamiliar with Cockneys!

On the other hand this is beginning to look like a bit of later gentrification!

I know I am 5 years out of date with this but here's trying!

I am researching my family tree - my grandmother was Margaret Hibbard. I came across your board from 2009 and the information we knew about her (very little, as she was adopted) fits in with what you were posting. We knew when she was born, that she was from Hackney and that her Dad was a glass blower.
