Are you sure about the Joseph, as he is only Edward on the marriage to Lilly Maddox?

Can you please give more details of the 1901 & 1911 censuses? Are they the Irish ones?

Thank you. It's been a while since my last post. I have now seen the 1901 and 1911 cencus showing my family. Whilst looking I found sunrise cottage. There is death registered there for a Ned power in 2009. This is not my grandfather as he passed in the 70s in Manchester. But with my aunt mentioning this cottage I am thinking this is a family member. Can anyone help please

Dear Dawn, thanks for your pm (it is best to click on the reply button on your thread, so that all other helpers can read the info and help further). There are 11 births for an edward power on ifhf, however it costs five pounds to look at each. It is a free search engine, however once you've found what looks to be a likely match, you then have to pay. Anne from scotland has some irish records and she may be able to help further. Are you saying that you think Edward was born in Ireland? If so a check of ifhf would give you his birth details (if recorded of course). And the marriage cert would hopefully give you his ageh and fathers name. Regards Linda :)

trying to find informatin on my Grandfather Edward Joseph Power (Ned), he Married Lily Maddox in 1921. I believe his father was Michael Power married to Eileen Mooney, but im not sure if this information is correct . Edward Joseph was born c1895 and lived in Drumcannon, Waterford, Ireland. My elderly aunt seems to recall that he lived in Sunrise Cottage, but once again im unsure of this. He had a brothers, Thomas and James also several sisters.. . Bridget, jodie, Lillian (Molly) .. to mention a few.
I am finding it difficult to locate his birth and wondered if someone might be kind enough to help. Any information would be greatfully received. Thanks Dawn . Sorry in my initial post i had the name Edmund and it turns out i had the wrong name as i was confused with his brother. It is Edward Power i am trying to search for.. i have deleted the old post . Looks as though my power family were from Rathmuylan a parish in the barony of Gaul-Tier conty of waterford, Province of munster... miles from Dunmore. Anyone who can help?
