Hi Jacqueline,

Thanks for trying - just an afterthought - in those days Toxteth Park was in West Derby - does that make any difference to your search?

In 1861 I think the family I want including Joseph, aged 40, were
Anne 39 Wife. Ann 9 ? Dau. John 17 Son, Catherine 15 dau.
also staying with them was his Father in Law William Whiteside, House painter, and his son William W. 52 Forge Roller.

All born in Toxteth Park..

Hi Jacqueline

Would you please look in 1871 census for Toxteth Park, West Derby/Liverpool for Joseph Royden, born about 1817 in Liverpool. In 1861 he was a Dock Labourer.

By 1871 I think that he was a Widower. Any details of family and addresses would be very useful.

Thanks in advance

John

Jacqueline. Hi I was wondering if you find a marriage between a William Taylor and a Sarah Casier (believe that is how her last name is spelt)
Anyway the wedding would have been around 1802, Stow on the Wold, Gloucester, England. Sarah was born in the county but William was not.
If you are able to find anything, it would be appreciated.
cheers
Christine

Hello again, thanks for help re George William Kitchen born Consett Co. Durham 1891 , the 1901 census info you forwarded is the correct one. His father is shown as William Kitchen born 1852 married to Jane nee Jackson married 1876 Lanchester area. from the 1881, i have William aged 28 born Sunderland and Jane aged 27 born Blackhill Colliery Durham, and Mary 3 born Leadgate Durham. In 1871 i then have him in Sunderland aged 20 a Cordwainer with his father William aged 50 born Hants Southampton and his wife Elizabeth aged 30 (2nd wife?) born Durham.
do you think that his father is an inmate in Durham Jail in 1851 a shoe maker? and can you find him in 1861 and 1841? and any idea on his wife / wives?
