Hi

Would it be p[ossible to do a couple of census look ups for me please.

The years are 1841, 1851 and 1861 census

for a) Herbert Jackson c1829 Kirkby in ashfield
b) James Jackson 3rd qtr 1838 Kirkby in ashfield
C) Matilda Jackson 2nd qtr 1841 Kirkby in ashfield

I think james's mother was Ellen but unable to find any details on his father. Hope you can help

Hi Lianne,

The best thing is to send for a copy of the marriage certificate from gro.gov.uk which will confirm his father's name and occupation and we can track back from there with more certainty

Hi Jacqueline, Thanks for the offer to help! I was wondering if you could kindly look up the 1911 census Sydney Herbert Pitt b. 1881 and his wife Florie Pitt b. 1876 who were living in the Brentford area. (both were born in Acton, Middlesex.) I see them noted on G.R.'s 1911, but as I don't have access to the actual household details, I am really interested in knowing if they had any children as they were married in 1906 in Acton.

If you can help that would be fantastic!

Hi there, was wondering if you could find any info on my g great granfathers birth. John Young believed to be born approx 1880 manchester lancs. He married Janet Hackesley approx 1897 in Lancs.
I do not know either of his parents names I'm afraid. Lianne

Can you help me get started with my paternal family tree.I only know my father's name and date of birth.Not sure of birthplace.He had 6 sisters and 1 brother .I only know the names of his parents.

I'm afraid I cannot do much more on her. You may be able to locate her in the local library for that area, within family history departmant. They sometimes have electoral roles and you would be able to search for free there
