John Henry Parker was my mother in laws father. Her name was Edith (Edie). She was born in 1924 and died in 2009. He also had 5 sons with Mary Blanche (nee Stevens), two are still alive. John died in 1966. I know that when John left his wife, when he moved from Derby to Crewe, he had another son by his second wife, but then the trail runs cold for us. Who was your mother, and when were you born? |

John Henry was born about 1904. He lived in Derby, and Crewe. In his spare time he was a football referee, although he worked for Rolls Royce in both Derby and Crewe during the war. He refereed the 3rd.round cup replay in January 1949 between Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa. I know he was married twice and had a daughter called Evelyn or Evie. He died some time in the 1960's. Is this ringing any bells in anyone else's family tree? he was my father although I never knew him. Anita |
