I am trying to find information on my greatgreatgrandfather Leonard Lang Parkes. He was born Leonard Lang and was adopted shortly after birth, he then became Leonard Lang Parkes. He was born c1880 in New Zealand and later married Emily Norman. His biological mothers maiden name was Lang, and I have been told she later became a Mrs Thompson. I have been unable to find any info on his adopted parents (my greatgreatgreatgrandparents)

Any help would be appreciated particularly info regarding tracing an adoption.

NZBDM
1881/7624 Laing, Leonard - Elizabeth - NR
his wife on marriage info is Emily Archer
