Our Grandad Horace Taylor's diary say that he was serving with the East Kent (Buffs) on the western front in March 1918 and was captured by the Germans while trying to hold the ‘Vendueil Fort’, near St Quentin.
In the front of the Diary he has written 'F Tyler North End Felstead Essex' and L/c Charles Hockley 44 Gillet Road Wilton'
Does anyone think these would have been their relative serving in WW1 If so I would be interested in any information you have Best Regards Les
