E webb died on hms captain in 1870, he was an ancestor of my father who was supposedly given his name ( edwin) thouh we cant be sure without finding out more about e webb. there is a memorial in st pauls cathedral with his name on it so we know that its not just a family rumour. we believe he would be an or great uncle of my fathers grandfather webb Francis webb b 1877 son of james webb born circa 1950. any information would be gladly recieved. |
