please can someone help and look up irish records

i am stuck on finding info on my granfather arthur burns as he died when my father was 8 years old, all that i have on him is according to his death cert is that he died in scotland 23/10/55 in a work accident age 48 that would make him born 1907 his mother was magaret morgan and father michael burns quarryman, both irish i think, he married rosanna mary yeates (rose) but dont know where as they were both irish, so not sure if married in ireland or in scotland as my father was born in scotland in 1946, my father would love to know more about him, ie were he lived and his parents etc please can someone help me.
