John and Muriel Matthews posted a message on "Project Roots" some time ago. They were searching for their biological father, who was a Canadian soldier. They knew him only as"Mac". Project Roots was shut down before they could be contacted. I believe I have information concerning their father "Mac". Here is what I have on John and Muriel:

Muriel Matthews, b. Feb7,1942, Guildford Hospital, Surrey, England.
John Matthews,b. April 2, 1943, Dorking Hospital, Surrey, England.
Their mother, Barbara Louisa Matthews, lived in Leatherhead, Surrey during the war.

From what little John and Muriel found out, it seems that Muriel has the same name as their father's Canadian wife. They were told this, when their mother was prepared to go to Canada to join him and sent a letter telling him of her intentions. The letter was opened by his wife and she replied to inform Barbara, that he was already married......the letter was signed- Muriel.

Hoping someone can help.
