I am trying to find the descendants of Frederick Thomas Hayes born on 26th March, 1919 to Alice Gertrude Hayes (1886-1966), in Clapham Maternity Hospital, Jefferys Road, Lambeth, London. Frederick was born out of wedlock while Alice was in service at Ashley Mansions, Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, and was taken to Tasmania by his natural Father when he was small, we believe. Frederick would no doubt have then taken his Father's surname, whatever that is. I know Frederick's family contacted my late mother-in-Law, Joan Goacher (nee Cooke, Alice's daughter) some years ago, but the details have not been made available to me. My husband (Alice's Grandson) and I are eager to get in touch with our relatives!!. |
