Trying to find relatives of Maud McCrea

I am trying to find any relatives of a Maud McCrea who lived with a Herbert Neal from the late 1940's. This side of my tree is proving very hard as no-one seems to know anything about the relationship between Bert and Maud. Apparently they were never married as Bert was already married to Annie Edwards, but between the 2 women he fathered many children.

The real problem comes because no-one knows where Maud got the name McCrea, as she was born Williams and I can find no trace of a marriage to a McCrea.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem for me please. Maud was born in 1915 and died in 1989.
