Thanks to shirley, Ann ,Richard and all who helped me to find Thomas and julia Mavin on 1881 census. As a result I typed in Marin and Maron and was able to find Thomas on 1901 census his surname had been mis transcribed so I now know where he was in 1901 I've been looking for ages. never occurred to me to look under some of the marin and maron surnames that came up. Thanks again
