I am the archivist at Lancaster Castle and we hold records of some( but not all) convicts who were Transported to the American colonies and, later, to Australia, from the County of Lancashire. Please note, our records relate ONLY to those sentenced in the Assize Court at Lancaster - the records of those sentenced at Quarter Sessions in the County are held at the Lancashire Record Office, Preston. If you think I might be able to help please contact me via our website lancastercastle.com and I will happily try to assist you.
