I am still trying to find a definite contact on my family tree for William Henry Penrose c.1864.
He was my grandads father. Grandad John William Penrose (1890)-
married to Laura Tivey (1890)William is shown on John Williams birth & marriage certs.
William Henry's birth cert. shows father as William Henry Penrose and mother as Ellen Penrose (nee. Wallis) but on his marriage cert. the father is shown as James Penrose (deceased).
All registered in Sheffield, South Yorks.

James father is William Penrose 1807 and mother Harriet (nee. Beal) c.1808 . In later census forms there is a William c.1868) listed as living with James's sister Jane. Is this the right one?

Any info at all would be greatly appreciated. Kathleen
