Member Since: June 2006 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am trying to find info on Joseph Roberts who married Sarah Rook in Crayford ion the 9th August 1874 at the parish church. Their son John Steven was born on the 5th July 1878 in Slades Green Crayford, Rilliocks cottages. I have been unable to find either Sarah or Joseph on the 1871/81/91 census. I have Sarah with her family on the 1861 census in Hougham kent and her parents next appear on the 1881 census living in Lee, Lewisham. Sarah so family legend has it died in childbirth, unfortunately I can find no death certificate for her in Kent. Their son next appears on the 1891 census living at 49 Lowfield street, Dartford listed as orphan he has no connection I can find to the family he is residing with,The Preddy Family. John Steven married in 1900 and his father is given as deceased. Joseph's father was also a Joseph and his occupation is given as mechanic on his sons marriage certificate and he is not given as deceased. Any help or ideas would be gratefully recieved.
