Seeking help please....

I am looking for the death of Grace Prosser nee Thomas whom I believe may have died between 1904-1908. I think she died in India or Eire/Ireland because I can't find her in the UK.

Grace Thomas was born 1875 in Bregdar, Kent and she married a soldier Walter Ambrose Christmas Prosser (Lancashire Fusilier) in 1901 Stockbury, Kent after the 1901 census. Walter's residence was listed as St Mark's Portmouth (possible Military Barracks) can't find this place.

They had 3 daugthers 1902 Beatrice Mary born in Portsmouth
1903 Eva Frances born in Bury!
1904 Ivy Grace born Hollingbourne, Kent

Story goes Grace died (place unknown) and Walter married a nurse/midwife, Jane Hefernen from Tipperary Ireland

Walter had a two further daughters in 1908 Briget M born Chakrata and 1910 Miriam in Multan both in India.

Walter died in1911 on board HMHS REWA aged 36 from Pnenmonia.

All the girls travelled back from India on HMS Dongola, and the story goes Jane placed Grace and Walter's daughters into a orphanage in County Cork.

Can anyone help, many thanks.

Walter joined the Lancashire Fusiliers 21.10.1892 service no. 7618? But since his birth in 1874 St Saviour, Walworth, I have not been able to find him on any census, why? The closest one is 1891 in London as a Blacksmith? But aged listed as 20 but he would have been 16/17. Walter comes from a family of Artist/Printer from Camberwell/Guildford, stuff in the City of London Library.

Thank you for read my equiry/requests and your time.

Cheers Tracey.
