Hi - I'm looking to trace my roots further.

So far I have managed to find information on my GGGrandfather, a Samuel Davis b.1843 - d.1886 in Bath, Somerset. I'm pretty sure he married a Charlotte Powell.

I beleive his father was a George Davis b.1819 approx. I think George was born in Bath too. The family mainly lived in the Walcot area of Bath, mainly in Avon Street (numbers 63 and 65) although I have been told that the Davis line could have lived in nearby streets such as Milk Street or Corn Street etc.

It could be that George's father (Samuel's Gradfather) settled in Bath after moving from Bradford-on-Avon, Wilts. but I could be COMPLETELY WRONG?? I may even be incorrect saying George was the father of Samuel.... arrggghhhh!!! Help!!?!?!?!

I would love to find other people tracing the same family or if anyone has any info or can find info about this that would be amazing. Samuel Davis mentioned above could be a good starting point to work back from. I'm just completely stuck and I dont know how to progress.

Thanks so much

Sam Davis
