I have a Thomas Gray born 1866 and I thought he died in 1871. I ordered the death cert from Lincolnshire county council and they have just phoned to say it is wrong. (My husband took the call) This means that my Thomas did in fact marry and all the hard work "Lost For Words" did for me today has paid off.

I have to phone Lincolnshire Council back tomorrow and see if I can order his marraige cert. If I am really lucky the money I paid for the death cert will cover the marriage cert. Lincolnshire Council are very good like that.

Its not often you can say you are glad you ordered the wrong cert but this is certainly one of them.
