I am trying to trace descendants of George McGarrity(born Paisley Scotland1874 and Ann McCartney (born Paisley Scotland 1872) they moved to Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1900. Their children were James, 1896, Peter 1898, Thomas 1900 ( all born at Paisley in Scotland) Thomas died in 1965/1966, Ann 1902, (married John Kirby in 1923)George, 1904 (married Nellie Dunlop in 1933 dec 1963) Michael, 1904 (dec 1904) John, 1905 (dec 1941) Margaret 1908 (dec 1928), Mary Catherine 1910 (married Allen Morris i 1936) William 1911 (dec1935) and Esther 1913/14.(dec 1986) John came to Australia in 1928 married in 1937 and was killed in Crete in WWII. He married Gertrude Norma Plumridge in Melbourne Australia in April 1937. |
