My Grandma got pregnant in the war to a soldier called Ernest Harris. He had just got back from Dunkirk and was billeted near Mansfield, Notts. He was born around 1909 in Wales, possibly Swansea and he was in the Welch regiment ( Welsh and Cheshire)
When he found out my grandma was pregnant he revealed he already had a wife and two daughters and promptly ran off back to Wales. I would really love to be able to find out more about him as I have researched all of my family tree quite sucessfully except for this big gaping hole. I think he may have had to pay maintenance but I don't know if there would be court records or where to start looking. This is all the info I have on him, I would really love to know more.
