Hi. Just wondered if the following info could be of any help to someone out there. A couple of weeks ago a lady kindly emailed me a page from the 1881 census listing some of my mother's side of the family, living in tents in Smiths Orchard, Kingwood Common Oxon. As well as my 2 x g grandparents (John Bland, mistress Eliza Waite and 6 of their 8 children) there is an Elizabeth Newport aged 34, occupation hawker born Eastlich, Gloucester, mistress of William Loveridge aged 40 born Oxford, also a hawker and their children Will Archer 14 born Runville, Berks, Mathew 8 born Reading, Eadeth Newport 5 born Northlich, Gloucester and Sarah 2 born Abingdon, Berks. |
