Not sure if this will be of any help to anyone, but in my search for members of my mother's family, a lady kindly sent me a copy of a page from the 1861 census listing my 3 x g grandfather and some of his family under 'List of Persons not in Houses', living in a caravan on Kingwood Common, Peppard, Oxon. On the same page is a John Cottrell also living in a caravan on Kingwood Common. He is aged 60 and was a Jobbing Butcher, born in Winshington, Bucks or Berks, I can't quite read the writing.

Can someone claim Mr Cottrell?

Regards

Janette
