This John King is a bit of a mystery - direct ancestor maternal line. He was born 1735 and the first record of him is a marriage to Mary Roe (b1736) 1st May 1760 at St Mary Magdalene Church, Launceston, Cornwall. She died 1762 (?childbirth). He married again a Mary Jane Skinner 11 Apr 1765 in Stratton, Cornwall. They had four children - John, Susanna, Daniel and William. By this time he had become a GP/Surgeon in Stratton and he died 08 Jul 1823. He has a headstone in Stratton Church with basic details on it but no indication of where he comes from.
I have searched all the usual sources to try and find out his parentage/ancestry but with little success. He seems to appear out of nowhere. Can anyone help with this?
