Welcome to genesreunited, Richard.

Megs posted this 8 years ago, and so may no longer be on genes.

You could try to contact her by clicking on her name to send her a message. If she still has the same email address she will be notified by genes.

In addition, Megs also has a fairly distinctive name, so your could consider a google search for much information and direct contact details.

I am a Great Grandson of Bessie Greenlay Dodsworth and have started researching her family. Would love to share the info I have and learn more from you.

I think Bessie's mother was Minnie Greenlay Dodsworth B. 1884, but she lived with her Grandparents in Sunderland, until they died (as Bessie was born the wrong side of the blanket). After her Grandmother's death, Bessie tried to find her birth mother in Grimsby, who was already married with 4 children.

I have lots more written by Bessie's own daughter (my Nana).

Hi Claire

Thanks for that, had been told she came from Sunderland but could not find anything.

Wonder why she never put her fathers details down on marriage.

Anyone with possible matches for her husband?
