Hi, Marie -

Welcome to the boards!

Unfortunately, Margaret posted that message in 2008, and isn't likely to be looking here for replies now.

You can try contacting her privately - click on her name at the top of her post, and send a message. If she still has the same email address, GenesReunited will notify her of your message.

If she replies, GR will send you an email to let you know.

Margaret, I think I may know the person you are looking for. Let me know if you are still researching any possible siblings.

Margaret, do you have a date of birth for Edwin Owen Lewis? Even approximate?

This could help get an idea of Mary E Belton's date of birth.

With dates of birth, it might be possible to find death records, assuming they have died by now. Or possibly to find them in someone's tree here at GR, for instance.

It's impossible to tell what your relationship to these people is, so one doesn't know what you might know that you're not telling, that could help!

Hi Kathryn thanks for the info I think that it could be Mary E Belton his second marriage , now to find any children thanks again

Nope. The marriage was to Mary E Belton, Q1 1960, Doncaster, 2b 763.

Of course, your Edwin could have married again ... ?

To find children, you would pretty much have to read through each quarter of the GRO index looking for Lewis births with mother Belton.

Or wait until FreeBMD gets that time period transcribed so you can search via its search engine!

One note: you should put surname Lewis in your subject line. If you click on "remove this filter" on the left side of the monitor, so you are no longer on the Lewis "board", you'll see how we see your post -- believe it or not, no surname.

Do you know Ms Belton's name?

The 2008 electoral role shows an Edwin O Lewis aged 65+ living with a Hilda J Lewis. I don't subscribe so I can't see place details. If you think this could be them, you can ask Jean for a lookup.

If you have the date of the 1960 marriage it's a relatively simple matter to find the bride's name. Did you get her surname from the GRO index? All you have to do is find the Belton in the same quarter and place who married a Lewis.
