Janice - You have noticed thatAnthony posted almost 6 years ago. He may not still be a member and even if so may not check this old thread. Try clicking on his name and sending him a personal message. If he still has the same email address that was registered with Genes, then they will forward your message to him.

Hi Tony,
I am currently researching our family tree & we think that my father in law Dennis Turner was at the home around the same time as you were.I am afraid that he died in 2001 and we have very little information. We do have a photo oh him with the matron Mrs Whittaker which may be at Westwood Manor ,perhaps you may be able to confirm some that .Dennis worked at several farms in the area we think while staying at the home.
Would be great to hear from you though I note that your post was back in 2008 !
Hope to hear from you
Jan Turner

Is there anyone out there who was at, or knows anyone who was at The Church of England Childrens Home at Westwood Manor, Wetley Rocks, Staffordshire. I was there with my two brothers from 1943 until it closed in 1945 and we were moved. I am trying to write an account of my time there, my name is Tony Webster
