Your grandfather would be the brother of my father. I presume that he would have been the elder brother having taking his fathers first and middle names. Son of Victor and of Mary Cumins.I cannot help you in your quest, sorry, but have you made any approach for Canadian records access, might be easily accessible due to being Commonwealth. I wish you luck on your quest

my grandfather victor david james reece left england for australia in 1949 on the ship orontes only to come back a few months later.
he then left for canada saint john new brunswick in 1950 on the ship empress of france and came back again to england a year or so later to take care of family buisness. he again left for canada in 1953 as a aircraft engineer on the empress of france and ended up in montreal. he was born in 1911 of the district of poplar, london.
i have searched all bmd records up to present and he obviously never came back to this country as his children never saw him again can anyone help as i am trying to get a death certificate on my grandfather but i do not know where he died regards darrell
