Thanks Sylvia. That's the family at Clifton Campville. Their surname was Randall though and I knew most of my Dads Aunts well. Alice was his mother. We were just curious as to what. Might have happened to Elizabeth. As you can see Bythe date of this post, I've had a bit of a break. Aargh at this thing creating full stops where I don't want them! Sue

Do you know when Elizabeth A Randall went to Australia?
it is possible to look at passenger lists on findmypast.com. You can see how many people with the name are on the records, but you need to pay to see the actual images.
It might be worth your money to do that, and see if she travelled with anyone.
There is an Elizabeth Ann Randall who married in 1903 in Melton Mowbray ... that's on www.freebmd.org.

Elizabeth gave birth to daughter Sarah ( known as Sally, who later married Howard Carter) circa 1898, possibly illigitmate as Sally was raised by her grandparents and Elizabeth is known to have emigrated to Australia. On the 1891 Census there is an Elizabeth A Randall born at Dunstall listed as servant to Moson family at 'Lady Leys' in Lullington. As the rest of family are listed as living in Haunton ( 3 miles away) at this time this would make sense that it's the same Elizabeth. She appears on the 1881 census as child of William and Sarah Ann . Brother Charles was born in Dunstall so presume that Elizabeth was too. Any information regarding her would be appreciated please as her all her sisters would say was that she had emigrated. They have all died now but she has some surviving nieces and nephews. Thank you
