not really a good idea to tag your request on another members thread as it would be better to start your own thread

Thank you for the info re Foleshill. That must be the death of Isaac then. How sad, he died just before his son Frederick married in April

Many thanks for your help

JIM

Jim and Sheila

Thank you for finding Frederick and Ellen on the 1901 Census. I had tried some variations, but not SANDERS!!. Thank you very much

NICOLA
The 1891 Census for Isaac Saunders does not refer to my Isaac. On the 1891 Census he should be between 57 and 60 (variations from previous census)
Thank you very much for looking though.
Very near - born in Netherton!
Not sure what to say about the death - I think 6d is a Birmingham area, so it is possibly right.

IVY
Thank you for the Genuki entry re Netherton. I must change my details from Warwicks to Worcs!!
Thank you very much

JIM
Will check up the 1891 entry in Birmingham for Fred Sanders and see what I think

Thank you all very much indeed
Regards
Jo

RE Netherton: the Genuki entry has:

NETHERTON, a village and chapelry in the parish of Dudley St. Thomas, and Dudley St. Edmund, county Worcester, 1 mile S.W. of Dudley. It is situated on the Stourbridge canal, in the heart of an extensive mining and manufacturing district. There are extensive collieries and mines of ironstone. The inhabitants are mostly employed in the numerous furnaces for smelting iron ore, and in the manufacture of nails. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Worcester, value £300, in the patronage of the Vicar of Dudley. The church, dedicated to St. Andrew, was erected in 1831, by grant from the parliamentary commissioners. There are several places of worship belonging to the Baptists, Wesleyans, New Connexion and Primitive Methodists. There are National and other schools."

I have a Frederick Thomas Saunders b ca Dec 1867 Netherton, Warwicks.
His father was Isaac Saunders, a Horsenail Maker with wife Mary

On the 1871 Census at RG10/3017 Fol 103 Page 7, the family lived at Halesowen Road, Netherton, Dudley, Worcestershire

NOT SURE whether Netherton is in Worcestershire or Warwicks?

On the 1881 Census, they lived at 3 Railway Terrace, Allison St., Birmingham RG11.2987 Folio 47 Page 36.

I cannot find the family on 1891 or 1901 census.

Frederick married in 1894 to Ellen Henley in Birmingham, and I know his father (Isaac Saunders) was deceased by then - MC says so! The address on the MC gives 27 Ct Summer Lane, Birmingham for both of them.

Who can find Fred on the 1891 census and both of them (Fred and Ellen) on the 1901 census for me please?

Many thanks
Jo
