My father in law (deceased) was supposedly born in Norwich on 15/06/1925. I can find no birth records as I do not know his birth name. I do have an adoption certificate which states:

Entry No. 11202
Date of Entry 06/05/1930
Name of adopted child Ashley
Sex Male

Name and surname, address and occupation of adopters:
Ernest George Thomas, Central Relief Institution, Kingston-Upon-Thames, (a poor law porter)
Joan Emma Thomas (wife of above) same address.

dob of child 15/06/1925

Date of adoption order 29/04/1930

Court by which made: The Court in Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames.

Signature of Officer deputed by Register General to attest entry:
Chas. M. Watts

The certificate is dated at the bottom as 19/06/1930 and has A 236 stamped on the very bottom.

Any ideas how I can use this information to find his birth name and or parents??

All help would be much appreciated.
