Trying to find Tarver

I am trying to find any Tarver family who can trace back to Claydon, Banbury Fathinghoe area in the mid 1700,s. My Grandmother was Florence Tarver born in Surrey in 1878. I have come across a family tree which dates back to a Simon Tarver whose first child was born in 1722. I would love to know more about this family.

I have only just picked up your thread and expect you have now the information you need . My Mother was a Tarver and my 6 x Gt. Grandparents were Simon and Margaret.( marrying 1715). I have a family tree showing the line through their son John. At the moment am trying to trace backwards to a Richard and Jane Greenwood marrying in 1582, and also trying to prove or disprove the suggestion that the family is of Huguenot descent. Would be grateful for any help you can offer and will pass on any details which would fill the gaps in your tree !! Pam H

The chances of David seeing your message after 7 years are quite remote. Click on his name on left hand side and send him a personal message. If he still has the same e-mail address as when he joined GR he should receive it.

I would take no notice of the "Nil" posts. I told someone a couple of months ago the same thing about someone not being a member as she also had no posts and the thread was almost 10 years old

She returned last week saying she was still a member and suddenly had 54 posts???

Probably just another glitch in Genes system
