Hi my gg grandfather was William Stephenson born circa 1838 married to Sarah Barton in 1871 at St Peters Prestbury and married to Pheobe Swindells at St Johns in Bollington later on after Sarah's death. William was born in Patrington according to the 1901 census and Loudesborough in according to the 1881 census so east riding whatever! He was a railway platelayer by occupation and came to Bollington in Cheshire when the railway was being built. His father was William Stephenson and was a labourer I am really struggling going back with this one any suggestions, similarities or help APPRECIATED!! Cheers Debra |
