Edna Stansfield born c1939 in Ashton I think married a Graham Whittaker. Edna would be my cousin who I don't even think she knows about. Edna's mother Edna M was my father's sister. My father was Ronald Raistrick and his mother and father were Catherine Howley Raistrick (nee Unsworth and Lambert, her first married name) born in Bolton 1891c and Henry Raistrick born in Yorkshire I believe.Catherine also had 2 daughters from her first marriage (her first husband John Lambert died) Annie and Lillian Lambert. I do know that Edna died in her 20's from TB but had a child (Edna M) who then stayed living with her father and family. My father Ronnie didn't know much about his sister death as he was only about 10 at the time but when my dad married my mum Doreen, their first born daughter was named Doreen Edna, after both my mum and Ronnie's deceased sister. |
