interested in finding any extended family on the sloan side --my ggrandfather robert sloan b1858 in rhoghill? antrim ireland settled in garngad glasgow before 1872-- iknow this because i have the birth certificate of his twin brothers--thomas and john-- sitting in front of me--and they were born in 1872 at 6 millburn st glasgow-- my gggrandfather(another) robert sloan married mary anne stead in 1856 at rhoghill antrim ireland now getting back to my ggrandfather robert sloan this is where it confuses me--his marriage cert indicates that he was 17 years older than my ggrandmother mary lafferty (or laverty) and his death cert indicates that this was his second wife ---- his first wife was mary jane stead--was this a cousin as his mothers maiden name was stead?-- i just know there is someone out there with the same pieces of paper in front of them as i have and you are looking for answers |
