Trying to find Slater

It is my Fathers (Russell Slater) 50th Birthday later this year and doing this as a surprise but proving difficult as I cannot quiz him on what he remembers as a child so I'm hoping the Slater clan can help me! My Grandfather, James (Jimmy) Slater was born in the Wandsworth area, and married Francis (Fran) Fuller where they moved to Elephant & Castle where they lived for a few years before moving to the Hellier Estate (Nr Croydon) in the late 50's. Fran still lives here but doesn't have many memories about Jimmy's family (she is on the hunt for birth certificates as I type this!) - I'm very new to this so will hopefully have more information to post soon. Any memories or leads would be greatly appreciated before I start on the Records centre. |
