Trying to find relatives of John Henry Thomas Rumble c1845 - 1895 (place of birth unknown) who married Hannah Sell. Children were Henry, Louisa, John, Elizabeth, Emily, Kate, Alfred, Eleanor, Florence (my grandmother) and Bertie. They lived sometime at 2 Ash Cottages, The Hale, Tottenham, London

I have just discovered some of my ancestors lived at 4 Ash cottages, the hale, Tottenham in 1912. As they later entered the workhouse I wondered what sort of accommodation the address was at that time.

Probably rented accommodation as most were in those days,

When the family fell on harder times they could well end up in the workhouse.
