Trying to find Rawlings

Tony

Tony Report 29 Mar 2003 14:35

Tony Rawlings. From South London, both my parents were born and raised in an area known as Bankside, which is between London Bridge and Southwark Bridge. My dad had a total of 10 brothers and sisters. We know that my greatgrandfather owned barges on the Thames, and when he died, left a considerable amount of money, but my grandfather didn't get any. As far as we know, his brother used it to found Rawlings Lemonade, also the R. in R.Whites. I now live in Woking so haven't seen any relatives for years. My dad worked at Barclay Perkins brewery for a while, now Courages. My mums maiden name is Painter. So going back, I have in my geneology the following surnames. Rawlings Painter Ramswell Proctor All were around in the 19th century. We think my greatgrandmother originally came from Russia. Anybody out there.
