HELP ME PLEASE -
I am trying to find out who my great grandfather (JOHN QUINN/QUIN) FATHER WAS john quinn b: 1852 states on census records he was born in carlisle cumberland on one and newcastle on the other - on his marriage cert he states his father is called michael i can't trace a michael but can trace a patrick/paddy who lived in newcastle with a son the same age as my john - patrick was also a shoe maker which ties in with his wifes father who was also a shoe maker - here are some details after john b:1852 married-
- married 1873: ellen porrett he gives his father as michael on marriage cert - john and ellens children = hannah, john, michael, thomas, george, charles, eleanor and turner - i can't find johns birth cert -- i am stuck and going round in circles
